I have been told ...My Maternal Great Grandfather in Alabama smoked his homegrown tobacco and drank his own moonshine every day. He lived to be 101 years old, but a broken hip from a fall at his 100th birthday party ( where he got a serious buzz on) caused him to "die young."
I tried his home grow tobacco, as it is still grown for home use. It was HUGELY better than the store bought. Very smooth. Once lit, you have to keep a cig going or it would just go out though. Hah! Smoking home grown! I have not had any of that in @40 years now. Hope they still grow and cure it.
