Good to see you Brian. We are starting fresh around here.

Roadhouse, we used to have one around here, it was just called The Roadhouse, food was good back then, this was over 25 years ago, daughter wasn't even born, then one day they closed, real nice steaks cooked your way and you could see the guys grilling them, the place was always packed.

There is a steak house chain here called Morton's. Not sure if regional or national but very excellent. Not inexpensive but never been disappointed. A new place opened not too far from me recently called Perry's. Need to give it a try. Heard good things about it.

Morton's is a Chicago steakehouse. We went once and would never return. If Perry's is the one that started in Clear Lake, Texas get the 4 finger pork chop. They stsrted out ass a butcher shop. I could see were Tillman Fritta bought them out & went national.

A person who's a lousy communicator would be right at home at a place like that. Aside from a few one-liners shouted across the table, there's not much they have to say.

A few weeks ago my squeeze and I stopped in at a place in, "the lakes district," hereabouts, that was an old favorite of mine. It was now...a "sports bar." We sat down and there were LARGE flat screens everywhere and it was NOISY. The place was moderately busy and we sat for @20 minutes with no service being offered. My squeeze was/is accustomed to sports bars as she is a bit younger than I am. I am not one to "beg" for someone to take my money so I told my babe, " lets go." We got up and left. Fuck that shit. Fuck sports bars. Fuck poor service.

If I'm going to spend my money I expect good service. I've been known to get up and leave a few places.

My wife and I had a similar experience this Summer. Instead of the usual greasy spoon restaurants we normally frequent, she wanted to go to a "nice" place. We got our iced teas very quickly, placed our orders, then proceeded to wait about 45 minutes for our food. Finally, I got up and politely asked to pay for our drinks and leave. Waitress started giving me all sorts of excuses, which was annoying. Wife and I ended up grabbing some gas station pizza and eating on a picnic table in a public park.

I was actually surprised they even took my money for the iced teas. If I were in their shoes, I'd have let it go given the ridiculous wait and inconvenience.

                      They don’t want my business…
