Go to 56 sec. on the video and it shows the aircraft colliding. Looks like??? the Army chopper just pulled directly in front of the commercial aiicraft with 60+ passangers aboard.

It is the responsibility of pilots to "See and Avoid" whenever possible but controllers in restricted airspace are responsible for maintaining separation among aircraft in the traffic area. When you have military traffic mixing with civilian traffic and poor communication you have a problem. I have flown close to Key West Naval Station while they were conducting F15 operations, I was in contact with them directly, they kept me off their flight pattern and we were all in the clouds.Sometimes I wish I had a Harry Potter's wand and make people go up into smoke.👍 1Comment

News is saying transmissions were VHF and UHF. But the tower was talking sending out on both frequencies. Instead of directing the chopper the controller just kept asking if he saw the commercial plane and to 'go behind it'.
RTO may be correct the chopper may have been watching the plane getting ready to take off? Their saying that is the busiest runway in the country with 800 takeoffs and landings a day. Some insane Senator wants to increase that traffic.Comment

Lots of odd things with this. Could it also partially be due to some DEI assclown being the ATC? From what I’ve read so far, it’s very strange that he(?) didn’t clearly order the helicopter to make a hard turn in another direction to avoid the collision.
Just throwing out another possibility that I’ve heard mentioned, could the helicopter pilot have intentionally caused the collision as a suicide? Due to divorce? Being a muzzy? Drugs or alcohol problems? Or some other dysfunctional situation going on?Comment

Hmmmm.... Remember when obama ordered the FAA to go from a merit based hiring system for ATCs' to hire (blatantly unconstitutional) only negros? Then biden ordered them to also hire the sexual perverts, pedos, transvestites, the blind, retarded, felons, etc.

4th, military frequencies are in UHF, civilians in VHF, towers have capabilities for both, but there is no way one one guy could have heard the other directly. What troubles me is both should have had collision avoidance equipment, the plane was cleared to land, but the chopper should have been able to see traffic and hear the traffic avoidance announcer and even see it on their display, Chopper pilot is partially at fault, controller should have kept separation, he is looking at his radar and seeing what was going on.Sometimes I wish I had a Harry Potter's wand and make people go up into smoke.Comment

That commercial setting up for landing had its landing lights on and was lit up like Christmas at Times Square. The video clearly shows it lit and coming in. Last nights news said their was an instructor pilot onboard but it was not a training flight.

Was the chopper on somewhat of a right angle cutting into the commercial planes path and he had to turn his head a bit back and left? Or RTO maybe onto something that the BH pilot was looking at the plane about to take off?
Both the BH and the commercial are in 7 feet of water at 32 degs. last night upside down. Credit to the U.S. Navy divers to go into that 0 visibility water to feel for bodies. God bless them the police and the Coastie divers I don't think I could do it.Comment
