Mr. Hackman was essentially alive for 7 days +- with his wife deceased in the home 'bathroom' with him in the home somewhere else. She was most likely getting pain medication when she collapse and it spilled everywhere. The one dead dog was in a cage having just come back from the Vet. and died of dehydration. Mr. Hackmans heart finally gave out.
Question? Why the hell with all their dollars $$ did they not have a nurse caretaker???

Betsy took care of Gene on her own for years, and the burden aged her. At 64 years, she looked like crap.

It is unclear, however, how she could have a deadly case of hantavirus and not know that she was sick.

Gene's dementia was so bad that he probably did not know Betsy had died.

Gene had a trust, but its terms have not been disclosed.

Gene Hackman's will has been unveiled -- and the two-time Oscar-winner left every penny of his fortune to his wife, Betsy Arakawa -- but there's a big twist.

Gene Hackman Left Fortune to Deceased Wife, Nothing for Kids

Why they didn't have a caretaker? To save money. My mother in law made a lot of money with her orthopedic business, it's all going to caretakers now. Of course she made so much she won't qualify for any government help with that. Eventually money will run out and something will have to be sold. The way the bitch treated me and my wife we're not paying for her shit, she made her son the only one with access to accounts and money has disappeared, they don't trust us with money. Assholes.

I watched the French connection tonight.

I am going to.have to watch it again. I am left confused. A lot of heroin a lot of cash. It would appear that no one saw, anything. Wtf?

Tough question dinky holy sheet its been since the end of the civil war since I watched the damn thing. 😀 Have to dig into my memory bank or call a friend so best I think I remember?
Popeye and the crew knew who the players were but they were trying to figure out how they were smuggling it into the U.S.. The big guy was sending his car here from Europe every time he flew over. They searched it once and found nothing? Hmm so Popeye weighed it when it came here and weighed it when leaving. This after removing the fuel I assume? Bingo weighed more coming than going back.
I think? police mechanics stripped the car to its frames and found it?? That part I remember someone can jump in with the rest if they wish and correct me if my memory is failing??

Towards the ending after the millions of $$$ was welded back up into the rocker panels of the Lincoln...and New York's Finest was running the bad guys down....Doyle shot the piss out of another detective. Was that cop dirty and Doyle served up some "on the scene justice?* Was the shooting a "blue on blue" accident? And with all the perps scattering like ants through a less than solid perimeter... Just obvious corruption? That coupled with the lack of perps that faced prison sentences seems a bit suspicious.

The shit that "Popeye" and his partner was doing reminds me of the "old times policing/law enforcement stories," I used to hear during the holidays...as the men gathered with cigars and bourbon in the family room.
