yes, same as pythons in the Everglades growing so large they are eating deer and gators

I will not engage them in Sanibel Island because being a wildlife refuge some asshole may report me to the authorities and give me a hard time, so be it.

I have not seen any this far up in Fla. yet but that does not mean their not here? Bears, bobcats, pumas, gators will love it if they do show up here. Pogo the little I know about them I guess like the wild hogs their tearing up farms and eating the farmers crops. Youtube has vids. of the farmers encouraging hunters to stop and use their property to pop them..
Guess the shooters had to be a bit stealthy as they seem to have caught on quick that stick the humans are carrying seems to be culling their herd a bit..

I went Iguana hunting with an air rifle in south Florida! They're sometimes referred to as chicken of the trees and are an invasive species that cause significant environmental and economical damage. Their population numbers are out of control, which makes hunting them with air rifles a ton of fun.

When I was visiting down there, everywhere I went there were some kind of orange/red bellied lizards I was told are also an invasive species and residents are encouraged to kill them. When I say everywhere I went, I mean everywhere. Even in the grocery store parking lots they were running around.

I never saw any iguanas, though - like gators, I didn't see any live ones until the day we left in a ditch beside the highway. Didn't even see any gators on our Everglades airboat tour.

Pogo and I had lunch at Bass Pro in Dania FL a few years back and they were all the place there. There are more now. As you exit the Florida's Turnpike into US-1 to go to the Florida Keys, one building displays a huge sign "Got an iguana problem? Call us" I know a lot of indigenous folks from south and central America eat them.
