That would definitely do the trick. But I'd need a time machine. These days, I'd likely have a tranny drill instructor.

BINGO! I was doing the aspirin a day thing for a year of two.

While hospitalized after suffering a pulmonary embolism and laying unconscious in the December snow of my driveway ...and also, not remembering an ambulance ride to the ER...at Cleveland Clinic...I had a vascular filter emplaced (Fram?) in order to filter blood clots from my lower extremities and THEN, ALSO, being required to use self injected warfarin(sp) a strong blood thinner. A week later I was shitting out blood. The injections of warfarin(sp) stopped immediately. Two units of whole blood transfused later......and it was time for an endoscopy. It was discovered that i had a huge and nasty stomach ulcer...one I did not know I had. I was then proscribed two meds: Pkantoprazole and a much milder blood thinner. Six weeks later...another endo. I was no longer an ulcer sufferer. If you are doing that aspirin a day thing... I would advise you to rethink it. Eating spicy hot foods has NOTHING to do with stomach ulcers. I am not a fan of bland food.

Yeah I remember you almost kicked the bucket from that crap. I’m taking a chewable low dose Aspirin under doctors orders and I make sure I have some food with it, it could be a doble edge sword.
Sometimes I wish I had a Harry Potter's wand and make people go up into smoke.

And I don't think I can eat mush less, I eat less now than my wife & most other women I know. I guess it might be that I like wine and the occasional glass of bourbon? Been exercising daily too, mostly cardio-type stuff.
Biggest contribution to my weight-loss was job change. Went from a very sedentary job, to stock receiving in a warehouse and actually have to move and work now. Also started to eat more sensible, and cut out the all day snacking.
My weight has hit a plateau at the 185 mark. Still working to cut this last 10 pounds

There is a brand of aspirin that has a coating that dissolves only after it is in your intestinal tract. So you don't have the aspirin burning a hole in your stomach. I have seen it advertised, but don't recall its marketing name.

Over the last year I went from 380# to 295# as i weighed in today. Love those digital scales. I generally eat one meal a day and drink a lot of different juices during the day after coffee or espresso in the morning. I do like my latte. Losing that weight makes it much easier to get around and get in and out of my Corvette coupe.

I am the epitome of good health. Denial works best for me. The doc says I'm all right, too.
