Has anyone who's bought new lately bought a vehicle without the stupid stop start bs? Trump said the automakers were going to get rid of it.

That's only up to the 2021 model year for the Tundra. For 2022, they totally redesigned the truck, ditching the V8. The 2022 Tundras were having recalls for catastrophic engine failure moments after they began selling them. I don't know what happened to Toyota, but their quality has tanked.

I also have a 1976 Chevrolet Suburban 3/4 ton truck. A "Trailering Special" with a fresh 454 engine. It came from Alabama ( high miles) and was owned by two faggots who moved to Akron to ??? Suck cocks here? I have had it for 30+ years. It is rust free. Not much in way of electronics there. No. Its not for sale. Air conditioning needs a suck and a blow. Otherwise everything works as new...even the cruise control. I used it to pull my gun show cargo trailer up until I purchased my C3500 Chevy dually from Larry Nance. I really liked that dually but it had @ 200,000 miles on it...so I sold it to a friend and picked up the F350 I have now. My other truck is a 1945 GMC CCKW with a hardcab. It runs perfect. Needs new rubber and some brake work.

First I am NOT a mechanic by any means but I love to watch the shows where they put cars back together. Damn that sucks they did that to their engines cause all they had to say was it was literally indestructible with minimum care. Probably did that to make yall come back to the dealer for repairs it was to good??

My used, 2019 Dodge Ram 1/2 ton doesn't have the start/stop feature. That was one of many things that attracted me to it. I'm not sure about other models and what's going on with the feature nobody likes. It's almost as bad as the automatic seat belts in the 80's.

I had that on my recent rental car and said their is going to be problems with these frigging things. If you don't have the vehicle entry device within a certain distance it is not starting. Having a key and that as a backup? Maybe but they can keep that frigging idea.
Another button we don't frigging need that will break and we can go to the dealer for our $200hr repair bill. More buttons more computer crap and more computer crap and and >>>>>>>>>>

There are two Toyota Tundras that got up to the one million mile mark on the odometer, they were both 2nd generation Tundras. Then Toyota had to go and redo the entire Tundra. Why mess with perfection?? Bean counters ruin everything.

Hmmmm. Truck is equipped with "Drivers Assist Package." I had to do a search to find out what that is. The owners manual is probably 500 pages. We closed the deal Saturday. All that is left is to drive my trade- in up the road to the Ford shop. Have the license plate switched and drive the new one home. I think...perhaps... Tuesday for that. A "Fire Engine Red" truck will be easy to spot in a crowded parking lot.

Think I will ask about having the new one delivered and the trade in picked up.

The cause of the recall was machining debris left in the engines during the production process, which was not a fundamental issue with the engine design. This debris can damage the engine crankshaft bearings, causing problems with the engine.

My Dodge Ram is the first vehicle I've ever owned with a push-button start. So far it has been flawless. Do I trust it completely? No.

I went to YouTube and researched how to start the vehicle if the key fob battery dies. Once again, although it works great, but I don't completely trust it.

My 2015 Honda CRV had the push-button start. What I was told by the dealer was, if the fob battery dies, touch the fob to the button when you push it. At such a close range, the car can still read the RFID chip in the fob.
